# Elections

### How It Works

Every Season, we elect new Stewards and working group leads. We are actively searching for a system that allows members to vote anonymously. We have one-off elections for opportunities like attending conferences.

### Why We Created This

We previously used Snapshot for voting, but because votes are public, there was tension during our Season 2 elections. We are looking for a web3-native voting system that solves this problem.

### Learnings

In any DAO, especially a small one with young members, voting can disrupt the social layer. We learned that anonymity is essential to allowing members to vote their conscience, and to avoid conflict.
